Hello, I had the afternoon free today and decided to try your wiring guide to see if maybe I could get a little more out of my connection. The one thing im confused about though. At the end of the line you still have to go through cat3 phone line to the modem. Does that negate the fact of adding extra copper from the outside box to the jack? Im assuming that the increase in speed would be from bypassing the possibly old and daisey chained from jack to jack wiring inside? Just wanted to get some thought before I try and make sure Im understanding the guide correctly.
