ATTbi Slowly raising the upload cap in certain markets. Posted in the Discussion Forum by inside_attbiOk all you folks in Pittsburgh, PA and the SF Bay area, I have some good news for you. It looks like ATTBI has finally started realizing that these problem areas are just way overloaded. To try and compensate for this, they have raised the upload caps to 256.
The yes-men where I work refuse to elaborate any further on this, but I think that this trend will eventually spread to all the markets. I know that many peeps care more about their DOWNLOAD cap more than the upload, but this is going to benefit everyone.
This will make up for a lot of the bandwidth that gets eaten up by DOCSIS traffic to the network servers. The bottom line is that it is going to do away with a lot of the intermittent connectivity problems.
I would tell you to inquire to ATTBI about this matter if you live in other markets, but it won't get you anywhere. It will happen eventually, but most of the agents will either not know what you're talking about, or won't say anything about it
Ok this will give it more room for the crowded subnets. It will also mean that Gaming should improve, Plus uploading to a website or moving larger files across the web wont fall apart from the packet loss that has been going on with the overloaded area.
You might think that why bother give me the download speed again. Wait till you surf with the faster upload.
Thankyou inside_attbi
